Klare Lanson is a Castlemaine based poet and artist.
For over 15 years, her practice has been motivated by her passionate interest in technology, memory, environment and the everyday. Klare has presented hundreds of solo and collaborative performances since the late 90’s, and has toured internationally twice. She produced an independent electronic spoken word album ‘Every Third Breath’ and her words are published on radio, web and for the page. Klare was co-editor of the literary and spoken word anthology Going Down Swinging for three years, was a feature artist in The Material Poem eAnthology (ed James Stuart), presented work for Meanjin and Overland’s Meanland Project at The Wheeler Centre for Writing and Ideas and recently performed for Punctum Inc, the 2012 Melbourne Arts Festival, Castlemaine Word Mine, Undue Noise and the 2013 Newstead Short Story Tattoo. Her latest audio publication is with the Overland Literary Journal and she presents a spoken word music radio show Turn Left at the Baco for Castlemaine’s community radio station WMAfm. Her current art project is called #wanderingcloud, which is a new collaboration with Clocked Out Duo(Bris), Andree Cozens (Castlemaine) and Jacques Soddell (Bendigo).
