The launch of the Creative Registry of Mt. Alexander & Pop-Up Art is happening this Thursday at the Public Inn 4-6pm December 4th.

Castlemaine Art online directory for creative community

Council is working in partnership with We Push Buttons web designers to develop a free online arts directory called Castlemaine Art for the artists, arts organisations, venues and creative businesses.

The online directory will be officially launched on Thursday 4 December at 4.00pm at the Public Inn in Castlemaine.

The launch of the website will be a part of an Arts sector gathering, and artists and creative businesses are welcome to attend. The function is a catered event so please RSVP to m.fowler@mountalexander.vic.gov.au

The directory at www.castlemaineart.com will become the creative online directory for Mount Alexander Shire artists.

The new website boasts some great functions to promote and profile the arts from this part of the world.

It includes enhanced functionality for artists including personal urls, google maps embedded in each profile page, and optimised google search functionality.

Local artists and organisations will have a unique profile page which they can use to profile their work, upload images, text, video and link to external or existing websites.

Castlemaine Art replaces previous artist directories that have been available through Council’s website. The directory will allow people to be able to search by name, profession, location, niche and interests.
