My favourite quote about art broadly, and artists particularly, comes from punter, iconoclast and bon vivant, David Walsh – he of the glorious MONA in Tasmania. David said, “I’ve never liked a work of art more after hearing an artist talk about it.”

How’s that for sticking it up all those bellicose bores, grandiloquently pontificating on po-mo matters. Oh, hang on, he owns an art gallery – his artists must all be mute – unlike Dave who can bang on for hours, mostly about himself, his vision and the enormous amount of lucre he’s made using his powers for good instead of evil, in a decidedly Maxwell Smart fashion.

Self effacing ponderous cultural clap trap aside, we try to run an exhibition programme that is energetic, engaging and changes every six weeks. I like to show my own work and the work of artists I know. Simple, really.

Exhibition Framing

Hand Finished Australian Hardwood Frames
Our real passion is for hand finished Australian Hardwood frames. Beautiful, sustainably grown and harvested timbers like Mountain Ash, Jarrah and Blackwood.
We stain, we wax, we rub, buff and polish to create frames that compliment, not dominate.

Conservation Framing
We use only the highest museum quality conservation grade rag mat boards from Crescent, barrier papers, tapes and adhesives.

We do lots of traditional, more decorative framing – tapestries, embroideries, memorabilia, medals, mirrors, photo and frame restoration.
