Jim Coad is a Video Artist and Filmmaker.
He has worked extensively with communities in various parts of Australia including remote indigenous communities. His current project, Video Architecture, involves collaboration with artists and community to develop large scale video projection installation works that focus on the use of physical arts media such as painting, drawing and movement.
Jim is based in Castlemaine where he developed his unique approach to projection art for the Castlemaine Fringe. Video Architecture has also been part of the at the Junction Arts Festival, Tasmania, in 2011. He is currently engaged in the development of works with Kildonan UnitingCare in Whittlesea, the Alice Desert Festival, Mount Alexander Shire and the Castlemaine State Festival.
He draws on his life experience for inspiration with a long standing commitment to community development and building a sustainable future.
